Here are 6 more tips to help you sell more online:

1. Speed up the order process by using single page
checkout

Single page checkout means that customers can
complete the checkout process on your website from
a single page instead of having to click through
multiple pages to place an order.

Single page checkout can increase the conversion
rate of your online store by up to 50% and
reduces checkout abandonment rates significantly.

2. Provide live shipping quotes right from your "View
Cart" page

Shoppers want to know how much you're charging them
for shipping even before they reach the checkout page.

By offering live shipping quotes from shipping companies
such as UPS, USPS, FedEx, Australia Post or RoyalMail
right from your "View Cart" page, you can increase
your conversion rate and reduce cart abandonment
by up to 250%.

3. Keep visitors coming back by publishing frequent
news posts

Your website should be more than just transactional in
nature. You should inject personality into your website,
and the best way to do that is by posting regular news.

You can post news about new products you've added
to your website, about special offers, upcoming
holiday-time deals and more.

A general rule of thumb is that you should add news
to your website at least once a week. You should
also make it easy for shoppers to subscribe to your
news feed using their favorite RSS reader.

4. Make it easy for shoppers to find the product
they want with comparative shopping

Did you know there are entire websites dedicated
to comparative shopping? Comparative shopping
allows people to compare 2 or more products side-by-
side to find the best price, features, etc.

Your website should make it easy for shoppers to
compare products side-by-side. It will help them with
their purchasing decision and allow your website
to act as both a research tool and online store.

5. Make it easy for visitors to shop for their
favorite brands

Most people have a particular preference for certain
brands when they buy products from retail stores, and
shopping online is no different.

Your website should make it easy for shoppers to
browse for products by brand - and ideally you should
display the brand's logo image instead of just the
brand name - most big companies spend billions
on branding to make sure we know what their logos
look like, so use this to your advantage.

6. Promote your best selling products on your
home page

You need to be able to quickly and easily identify
the best selling products in your store and promote
them on your home page to all shoppers.

For example, if you sell MP3 players and Apple's
iPod Nano is your best seller, then it makes sense
to promote it on your home page as there's a great
chance most people were looking for it anyway.

Even if they weren't looking for your best selling
product directly, a lot of people use best selling
products as a starting point when they arrive at
your website.
