The 1.4 Alpha version of PrestaShop continues to be developed, and many optimizations and new features were added this week:

* Improved the cookie for a performance gain
* Ability to remove image in the module “homepage editor”
* Improved module “customer loyalty”
* Improvement of the page Modules > Positions in the Back-Office, with the possibility of deleting several modules at the same time
* Decreased the quantity of SQL queries on the Front-Office and many improvements on the solution performance
* Integration of the module Ogone in PrestaShop

Various improvements have been made on PrestaShop, in particular on carriers, language modification, catalog pages, and invoices. The products returns have also been optimized, as well as volume discounts.

A new release of the Moneybookers module was integrated: the module's configuration is easier, and it is presented more clearly to your customers on your store.

We also integrated retro compatibility for PrestaShop v1.2 templates, extending your opportunities to customize your online store.

Many new improvements have been made to versions 1.3 and 1.4 this week.

Among the significant improvements made to version 1.3.1:

* Improved the management of downloadable products
* The orders creation when a product is out of stock is now operational
* Watermarks are now applied to images imported via CSV import
* Better management of coupons on the Front-Office
* Optimized Hipay and Moneybookers modules
* Temporary files created during images imports (via CSV import) are now removed
* Better management of products cancellations and related shipping fees

PrestaShop v.1.4

This week a new feature has been integrated into the version 1.4 of PrestaShop: the ability to export sales invoices in PDF, classified by statuses (Orders tab> Invoices).

This feature will allow lots of merchants to save valuable time!
As a reminder, this version is under development and should not be used in production.

Improvements continue to be made to the version 1.3.1 of PrestaShop.
Find out below is a non exhaustive list of them:

* Fixed an issue of "Duplicate content" with languages
* The products references when creating packs are now well created
* Improved PayPalAPI module for Great Britain
* The discounts dates are now well taken into account
* Fixed an error message "Hack Attempt" when deleting a state

PrestaShop v.1.4 is available

As we announced during the Barcamp² PrestaShop, the 1.4 alpha 1 version of our software has been published a few days ago.
This version includes the SQL replication as well as bug fixes that will be available in the 1.3.2 version published soon.

The notion of Alpha version indicates that this version should not be used in production, because it is not yet considered as being stable.

Modifications on the SVN structure


For the development of the 1.4 version of PrestaShop and the support of the 1.3 versions, our SVN has received some modifications.

This one is composed of the main branch, the "trunk", containing the 1.4 version in development, where new features will be integrated. Recently, a new branch named "1.3.x" has been added, on which bugs are fixed in the 1.3 versions.

Each week, we will merge the corrections made on the “1.3.x” branch to the "Trunk".

PrestaShop v. 1.3.1

Here is a non-exhaustive list of the enhancements made this week on the 1.3 version (SVN branch 1.3.x):

* Corrections to the generation of the sitemap.xml file
* Fixes on CSV files import
* It is now impossible to modify the "Administrator" group’s rights
* The products’ prices displayed in the Back-Office now takes into account the beginning and end of discounts dates
* Cross-Selling module no longer shows duplicates
* The list of states is now displayed in alphabetical order on the Front and Back-Office

These modifications will be shortly merged to the Trunk (1.4 version).
